One of my favorite things in this world is tie dye. I thank the Art of Ed for this lesson.
I loved it. The students loved it.
I had some students make over 5 designs discovering something new each time.
I did require each student to make me one that I could keep so we could have a groovy hallway display when school is back in session.
It'll be rad.
Here's some of my summer tie dye!
I love these, I am a huge fan of tie dye! Will be teaching a Oil Pastel class at our homeschool co-op this fall. May I ask what type of paper did you use?
ReplyDeleteLove the end result! Just wondering about instructions and steps? Oil pastels an old erasers? Could you elaborate a bit on how you did it? Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteCheck this video out...it has all the details! https://www.theartofed.com/videos/the-perfect-one-day-lesson/
DeleteGreat post! Can you tell me what size paper you used? Also, did you give them any guidelines on color choices? Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteWe used a 8in squared paper. It's best not to work too large! I showed students a couple of designs, but really it was pretty much up to them to pick the colors they wanted. They won't want to stop making them!
DeleteHow did you do this ? Did they use water with the oil pastels ?
